MS Office 2003 Service Pack 1

We have an administrative installation point for MS Office 2003 enterprise.
We use SMS to deploy the needed software package. I have created an new
administrative installation point with SP1 slipstreamed into all the software
Packages in the Enterprise. All indivudual MSI install went fine while using
the "X:\MAINSP1ff.MSP" /a "Y:\MS OFFICE.MSI FILES". The problem is even if
InfoPath was slipstreamed with SP1. I still don't get the service pack 1 once
I try the install on a workstation (sms or Manual). If I check the version,
it's the version without SP1. I need to manually Update InfoPath 2003. even
if Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel are all SP1. What the deal? can't you
slipstream InfoPath?

Was it one sku that you were updating? If so you might need to patch
multiple msi files. Also make sure your command line is correct...it should
be something like...

msiexec /p <patch.msp> /a <msi name.msi> /qr

where /qr is just reduced ui mode...you can use any other switch you want.
You can also enable logging l*v to make sure it worked.

Thanks,
Ryan

MS Office 2003 Professional Enterprise. I have patched all related MSIs to
SP1. The Admin installation Point was patched without any errors. If I run
Info11.msi or fp11.msi that are in the admin installation point that were
updated with the MSP for SP1, it will install on the workstation the previous
version and not the SP1 version. If I then manually run the SP1 on the
Workstation, it will update the needed software. My question is why is
doesn't the patched admin installation point install the SP1 version of the
applications on the desktop?
