MS Office 2003

Can someone please help me!

I have Windows XP (dpnt know if that's important). I am desperately
trying to install MS Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition. I had
MS Works 7.0, but I removed that in hopes of getting the cd to work.
I must be on my eighth attempt to get this to work.

Basically, everytime I install, at the very end of the installation a
message pops up:

Error 2932: An internal error has ocurred )C:\WINDOWS\Installer
\{9......long bunch of numbers...\xlicons.exe 5 And it tells me to
contact PSS.

Please help, I'm absolutely desperate and this is seriously driving me
crazy.

It just seems to be part of Office. Did you try contacting Microsoft as
directed?

Can someone please help? I really don't know what to do next. I
think I've tried everything (including making a new account on my
computer) and nothing works.

Help you with what? You were already given the Microsoft Product Support Services contact information - did you use them?

Yes, I have tried the websites, but unfortunately they are extremely
vague and do not help at all.
