MS Office 2007 Beta Technical Refresh

I received an invitation to install a technical refresh after running the
diagnostic tool for Office2007 Beta. I now cannot open Outlook and have many
problems with Word. Am I alone in thinking that it might have been better to
have made reference to the existence of a specific discussion group (and how
to access it) before encouraging the download and installation? It seems from
the dated entries that this has been a problem for some time. I am now in the
frustrating situation of many before, searching through KB for things that
work or I can understand.

Thanks for the response Ellen. When I attempt to open Outlook, either I get
the normal opening blue screen (but with the toolbars oddly named/situated);
followed by the message that others have reported (that perhaps there is not
enough memory space); or simply the message (after the orange box logo for
Beta Office 2007 that contains BTF2 in the corner.) In Word, none of the
commands are where they should be if it opens. Usually it crashes and goes
into a cycle of crashing if Alt+ctrl+del is used. The computer has to be
rebooted to continue.
I have followed the suggested solutions from the KB to the letter without
effect.
I cannot uninstall the technical refresh nor the Office 2007 beta package. (
the logo/ uninstall box appears and disappears without effect; with or
without the Panda Software)
I have Windows XP Home. Half of the solutions offered only work for The
Professional edition.

After writing the post I tried a simple restoration of the system to a date
before the installtion of the Technical Refresh. Everything restored and
working well thank God.
