ms office 2007 pop up screen

Hello,
Just hoping someone can help here. Since installing Microsoft Office
2007 Enterprise Edition, most of the times when I launch any of the
Office applications, a pop-up window launches after the splash screen
and reads "Configuration Process: Configuring Microsoft Office
Enterprise 2007" and bears a loading bar. It then takes about 5-10
minutes for the configuration process to be completed and for the
application to be launched. Is there any way to stop the configuration
process or to reduce the time taken to configure?
