I am having a good deal of trouble using this software. This is trouble I did not have using earlier versions of the same software. I tried to download the SP1, but I get a message that says there is no version on my computer that can be updated. I have a copy of the program purchased at the Apple Store in Miami (The Falls Shopping Center.) The program is slow to open, word documents are slow to show typewritten characters, entourage is also slow to open. I cannot open older word processor files (this never happened with MS Office 2003). What can I do?

Did you ever apply the original 12.0.1 update which required an update of
the AutoUpdate app itself? If not, that could be the problem. Do a search
for Microsoft AutoUpdate, run Get info on it & if the version isn't at least
2.1.1 go here to get the update, then try SP1 again.

If successful apply 12.1.1 as well then repair permissions & restart.
Otherwise come back with specifics of what your results were.
