MS Office 2008 Student/Teachers vs MS Office 2008 Business

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I have a client who has MS Office 2008 Student and Teacher Edition installed to her Mac. I understand that with this version Entourage can only be configured as POP or IMAP, and NO Exchange support.

The client has now moved her email hosting to one of these Hosted Exchange accounts where by the provider supplies either Outlook or Entourage licensed software to their end users.

My question is, if my client has MS Office 2008 installed and afterwards installs MS Entourage 2008, will the two installations play nice with one another. They will obviously share a Microsoft User Data folder and preference files. Both do need to be installed because her MS Office 2008 has no Exchange support and the provided Entourage from the hosting company does not have Word, Excel, PowerPoint components.

Any thoughts or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It's a bit tricky to install the standalone version with the H&S, but it
can be done. All the info we have has come from users since none of the
MVPs have ever had to do this type of install. See this article:

with the Home & Student Version
