MS Office 2K installation getting canceled

Hello

I had an Office 2K installation on my Win2K Toshiba laptop that worked
perfectly. For instance, I was able to perform an "Insert"->"Object"
operation and pull in a Visio document into Word.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the domain changed on my laptop by our tech
support so I could log into my company's network instead of logging in just
to my computer.

Since then, every time I open up an Office installation, I get a message
that says "There was a problem installing the Office Assistant. Would you
like to try reinstalling it ?"

Also, when I try to pull in a Visio document into a Word one, I get a
message to the effect that the source application (I'm assuming that means
Visio) is down or not properly installed.

When I try to "Repair" my Office installation using my Office 2K CD, I get
upto the point where I select all the options I want installed on my PC
(instead of having to run them from the CD). When I click on "Update", I
get a message box after a few seconds that says "Installation has been
canceled".

Any ideas on what is going on here ?
