MS Office 2k keeps trying to install when i click on certain icons????

I have had my computer for about 2 yearsnow, and have
had MS Office 2000 on it the entire time, with no
difficulties. The past few days, when I click on
different things (icons, email messages, etc and so on),
a box will pop up that says "preparing to
install...Office 2000...." what the heck? ALL of my MS
Office Programs are working properly, and nothing has
been uninstalled. I have downloaded no updates, nor have
I installed anything new related to Office. I know
it's "odd", because as I said, if I am in IE, and go to
yahoo mail for instance, when I click on my INbox, or a
message, or a link in a website...ANYTHING....this same
thing pops up. I click "cancel" three or four times, then
it just stops trying to install and everything works
right.
Any ideas or suggestions
