MS Office 97 onto XP Machine

I am trying to load MS Office 97 onto my XP machine & see an error message "
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS & MS Windows applications. Any idaes please?

Restore an undamaged copy from the Windows\repair folder.

My Computer, C , Windows , Repair, r-click "autoexec.nt", copy
........you get the idea.

Good to hear, if you continue to have trouble with it, suspect that
malware has been installed on the PC and take appropriate action.
