MS Office 97 Photo Editor & WinXP

When i install and run MS Office 97 Photo editor on an XP
machine it will only start and run on an Administrator
user account. Any other XP user type produces the
message "No file types registered for this application",
the app will not allow the user to open anything. Anyone
out there have any ideas for a solution.

Did you try installing it under each existing user profile? If it works, is
that an acceptable workaround?

Try implementing the fix mentioned in knowledgebase article 260151

Although it says it applies to Office 2000, it also applies
to Office 97.
