MS Office 97 Upgrade Installation

Error "Upgrade Check...All Searches Failed"

Now I cannot exit my PC without voiding my CD. We have both Works and
Office software and license agreements.

Please advise on how to restart the installation process without voiding my
software.

My PC is still running!
