MS Office Compatibility Pack sp2 status

The Windows xp pro sp3 (control panel->add/remove programs)
claims that Microsoft Office Compatiblity Pack for
Word, Power Point and Excel 2007 is installed.
Also the SP2 for this compatibility pack.

However, the articles (kb articles on MS download portal)
in no way refer to the compatibility pack sp2.
Neither the description article of compatibility pack nor the
description of its SP1.

What is the reason?

No idea why the KB doesn't have stuff about it, but Office Online does. (It
may just be that the KB search isn't turning up what it should, which
wouldn't surprise me at all.)
