MS Office error

Jimmy Hsu

I'm using MS Office 2007. Recently, I have difficulty responding to
people's email to me. I hit Reply, typed my reply message and click Send.
The followng error message pops up:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

Gareful if anyone can advise.

Thank you

Jimmy

This probably has to do with how your email account is configured in
Outlook.

http://www.google.com/search?source...domain+isn't+in+my+list+of+allowed+rcpthosts+
should get you started.

The first hit suggests, for example, "Your POP mail client is not configured
properly. We suggest the following: Use port 587 with SMTP authentication or
if using port 25, retrieve (POP) your mail first before sending your
messages through SMTP."

I'd guess you need to specify SMTP authentication in your account settings.
Do this in Outlook 2007 via Tools | Account Settings. On the Email tab,
click Change. Then More Settings and the Outgoing Server tab. Input your
user name and password there.

If that doesn't fix it, you should probably call your ISP.
