Any idea when MS Office/Mac will be written native to the new Macs with
Intel chips?

This will probably happen in the coming major Mac Office upgrade. Will happen
soon.

My giess is about 3 months after Office 2007 for Windows ships - and the
retail version of that are now due to ship early next year, so I guess you
are looking at about May/June next year.

All of the above is pure speculation on my part and does not imply any
'inside knowledge' - I haven't got any information on MS's plans for a ship
date (or even if they have a ship date in mind yet!)

And my guess is considerably farther out than Barry's. But it is only a
guess. None of us has hard information to go on. Just look how many
times Vista and Office 2007 have been delayed. It's just impossible to
know the answer to this question.
