Ms office keeps on displaying the "save as" menu as soon as i load

Hi, recently i opened ms word and it came up with the "save as" box if i
cancel it or save the file it just pops up again and i cant get rid of it. it
happens in word, excel and the other programmes.

with this i cant use ms office at all, it has happened on my ms office 2000
and 2007 on my laptop (Vista)and my pc(XP sp3).

please help !!!

On my Pc which hax Xp running on it i have tried to format the hard drive and
then load ms office without anything else on the pc, this still hasnt solved
the problem as the save as box still pops up!


on my laptop with vista i have solved the problem by uninstalling a windows
update. i thought this would be similar for my pc but as i have tried offices
just after a hardrive format and the problem is stil there, i am not sure
what to check for next.

as far as i can think it must be something that doesnt clear when the
computer is formatted or it has something to do with a hardware component.
but i dont know why a hardware component would affect ms office only.

i have also tried different versions of ms office and another operating
system on the pc and they still didnt make any difference.

if ANYONE can help me please reply, it would be much appreciated! as this
issue is getting really annoying!
