MS Office may have crashed my Mac!

John Wolf

Received 2 major crashes this morning and both while I was using Office 2004
apps. The first my mac froze up (without a error message) and I had
Entourage, excel, Word, and Messenger open. And when I rebooted and started
using Entourage to type out a message I received a crash and got the error
below.

Office 2004 has been more reliable than older versions, but the memories of
the many crashes and bugs and bombs while running an MS app on the Mac
during the OS 7-9 days wont be forgotten. I believe that a MS app was
responsible for the 2 crashes I had this morning. MS has always had a nasty
habit of being more concerned about features than security, qnd stability.
If there are any MS MVP's here what do you say? Yes I will be sending this
email to MS.

I ran the extended Apple Hardware test in response to my post for help on
the Apple forums and the test came back fine as in no problems!

Replied to elsewhere ‹ Please don't post the same message to multiple
groups. If using a newsreader & the issue involved justifies it the
technique of "cross-posting" is far more productive. Multi-posting, however,
makes it far more problematic for everyone ‹ including yourself ‹ to follow
the conversation & wastes a great deal of everyone's time... Time that could
be better spent assisting someone else.

Thanks for your consideration, understanding & cooperation.
