MS Office may have crashed my Mac!

John Wolf

Received 2 major crashes this morning and both while I was using Office 2004
apps. The first my mac froze up (without a error message) and I had
Entourage, excel, Word, and Messenger open. And when I rebooted and started
using Entourage to type out a message I received a crash and got the error
below.

Office 2004 has been more reliable than older versions, but the memories of
the many crashes and bugs and bombs while running an MS app on the Mac
during the OS 7-9 days wont be forgotten. I believe that a MS app was
responsible for the 2 crashes I had this morning. MS has always had a nasty
habit of being more concerned about features than security, qnd stability.
If there are any MS MVP's here what do you say? Yes I will be sending this
email to MS.

Not much, John, because you don't give much information for us to go on if
you want help. Tentatively I've concluded you have had a crash while in
Entourage, so you may be better off posting in the Entourage group.

You'll need to give very explicit details of what you did before the crash.

But if you just want to vent, that's OK! ;-)
Yes I will be sending this
email to MS.

Good -- because the crash report means nothing to us.

<report snipped>

I mentioned what I did before the crash, and that was using those apps.
