MS Office outlook 2007 keeps requesting network passwords- Why?

The automatic e-mail update process in MS office outllok 2007 often request
that I re-confirm the user names and passwords already entered into my
accounts profile.

All I do is click on OK for each one, problem is that when they appear
100-200 times a day it becomes a pain in the ....

When does it do this and can it be stopped without closing outlook?

There are a number of things that can cause this. What version of Windows are
you using?
