MS Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close.

If I select Customize under Tools in Outlook 2007, I get the encountered a
problem message and then Outlook restarts. I have the same problem if I open
a contact and attempt to edit a phone number or create a new contact and edit
the phone numbers. I have re-installed Office twice and I can't get rid of
the problem. Nor have I been able to find anyone with a simular problem
on-line. I have disabled all add-ons. I have used scanpst.exe. You name it,
I have probably tried it. Does anyone know of a solution or where I should
look? Looking for help.

What is logged to the Event Viewer regarding this?
Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

I have opened it in safe mode, I still get the same problem. I have used
Microsoft "hotfixes", but still have the same problem. When I originally
installed Office, Outlooked worked fine. I am not sure when the problem
started to occur because it happens when you try to update the phone number
in a contact and the problem could have started long before I updated a
number. I never use customize, I just discovered the problem with it when I
was looking for a solution to the Restart from the contact phone number
update problem.

The other sites were nice, but they didn't have simular problems or
solutions to this problem. So far no one does, not even Microsoft.

But what did got logged to the Event Viewer? ;-)
