MS Office Picture Manager Print problem

S

Stewy

The "Print" option under "File" command is missing I
checked two machines with the same setup (Windows 2000 OS
and Office 2003) and both of them don't have the print
option. Both computers are attached to printers. Yet, on
the WinXP machines the print is available. Anyone know of
a fix????

Hi Stewy,

Unfortunately MS says this one is 'by design' as
Office 2003 Picture Manager makes use of a Windows XP
feature not available in Windows 2000.

I found Micrsoft Article 827762
It said
Print Command Is Not Available in Picture Manager 200
SYMPTOM
When you try to print an image file in Picture Manager 2003, there may be no Print command on the File menu. Additionally, the Print button may not appear on the toolbar.
CAUS
This issue occurs if Picture Manager 2003 is installed on a Windows 2000-based computer, because print functionality in Picture Manager 2003 requires the Windows Photo Printing Wizard. The Windows Photo Printing Wizard is not included in Windows 2000.
WORKAROUN
To work around this issue, use a different image printing program to print your images.
MORE INFORMATIO
This issue does not occur when Picture Manager 2003 is installed on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, because the Windows Photo Printing Wizard is included in Windows XP.
STATU
This behavior is by design.
The information in this article applies to
Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2003, when used with:
the operating system: Microsoft Windows 200

Now is that dumn or what? how can you put out a picture program with out a print command
If anyone has more on this PLEASE let me know.
