MS Office Picture Manager very long load time

Just installed Office 2003 on a WinXP Media Center PC. Picture Manager (part
of Office Tools) takes a full 4 minutes to load. Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
load almost instantly. Even if I click on an image file, it takes 4 minutes
to display in Picture Manager. I've tried uninstalling Office and
reinstalling thinking a file must be corrupt, but no improvement. Any
thoughts? Thanks.

Resolution: My Picture Manager app had a picture shortcut to another network
PC. When that other PC was turned off, Picture Manager would go searching
for the "lost" folder/files, and take about 4 minutes to report back. Thus
the long response time.
