MS Office Pro 2000 - tool bar problems

P

pilgrim30

While working on a document in MS Office Pro 2000, the screen flickered for
several seconds. When it quit flickering, several logos were no longer on my
toolbar.

I can access font size/color, etc., by CTRL/D or from format/font - but not
from the toolbar itself. Highlight is no longer available either and I cannot
find it anywhere to access. I don't remember what else is missing. But I'd
like these items back on my tool bar.

Don't tell me to go to view/toolbars; don’t tell me to go to tools/customize
or options; don’t tell me to go to add or remove buttons because I’ve been to
all those places and nothing has helped.

HELP!!!!

Then I guess we will not be telling you to go anywhere. You can always delete normal.dot, but then you will probably tell us not to tell you that either.

Sounds suspiciously like there is something else running than Word. What
nasties are running on the PC?

Hello Milly!
Sorry, guess I wasn't making myself very clear. What I was trying to say is:
I've been to all those places and nothing works. Give me someplace else to
access (if it will work) so I can get them back.

I guess the only real solution is to wipe MS Office and re-load.

I don't know what "normal.dot" is or where to access it.

Thanks anyway.
