MS Office Project has stopped working error message

Hi Everyone,

Please help me out for below mentioned problem:

When attempting to open an existing project (.mpp file) project crashes with
the following error:

MS Office Project has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

If you have Norton running, check what JulieS said in the previous message:

I don't know what version of Norton you run but here's how the check
the Office Plug-In on the version I have. (Norton Internet Security
2006).

Open Norton.
Click the Norton Internet Security tab
Click the Settings list
Scroll to Additional Settings
Click the Virus and Spyware Protection hyperlink
Select Advanced Options and click the Miscellaneous option
Uncheck "Turn on scanning for Microsoft Office documents"
