I am running MS Office XP and just got MS Office SB 2003
and would like to know if I can install it over XP and
still maintain my files or would they be overwritten?

Appreciate and clues... Thanks

All files created with any version of Office are never overwritten,
including the .pst file. If you perform an inplace upgrade, you should be
fine.

However, as with all software or hardware installations, make a backup of
essential files and folders prior to installing.
