Im using Office 2003 with BCM, and did all the online updates. This new
scanning app appeared at some point... All Programs > MS Office > MS Office
Tools > *MS Office Document Scanning*
1) DPI. The MS Office Doc Scanning works great, but is there a way to SET
it to *always* (or at least for one session) scan at say 200dpi, and not
what appears to be a 300dpi default
2) PUSHBUTTON SCAN. Our HP7140XI printer/scanner is on the network
(connected by ethernet) and has a "SCAN TO" button, but pushing it always
launches HP's scanning software, which I don't prefer. Would there be an
easy way in WindowsXP-pro or somewhere to have it launch and route to MS
Office Doc Scanner?
3) INSTANT ADOBE PDF. One thing the HP software does have, after a scan, is
you can easily press "Send to...Acrobat" and up comes Acrobat...then you
just save for an instant pdf. Is there any *fast* way in MS Document
Scanning to shoot it to pdf. (Right now, I have to save the scan as tif,
then open it in Acrobat, then save it, then delete the tif.)
Thanks,
George
