MS Office Shortcut bar

The MS Office 97 shortcut bar is keeping my windows 98SE
from shutting down. The computer hangs at the "Windows is
shutting down" screen. I can keep the shortcut bar from
loading at start-up by un-checking it in the "Startup Tap"
in the System Configuration Utility window (msconfig.exe)
and windows will shut down fine. I have also disabled all
of the buttons in the shortcut bar but this doesn't help.

If you try to see what is running in the background, what program is it?

Milly,
If I end all tasks execpt explorer and MS Office Shortcut
Bar, (I am assuming these are the only programs running in
the back ground)windows will still not shut down. If I end
MS Office Shortcut Bar task, it still will not shut down.
I emphasize that if I don't let the shortcut bar load,
everything is fine.
Thanks,
Mike
