ms Office SP3

update sp3 for ms office is looking for pro.msi and I have a retail version
and the pro. msi is actually proret.msi I have attempted to locate the
pro.msi file to no avail. How do I resolve this issue or remove the patch
entirely. I can't open any of my office programs and am very frustrated with
Ms right now.

Did your copy of Office XP come preinstalled on your computer by the
computer manufacturer, or did you install it yourself from the CD? If
it came preinstalled, then it appears that the computer manufacturer
used an enterprise version of Office XP to image your hard drive, but
included a retail-version Office XP CD in the box with your computer
(this is a common occurrence), and the only way to fix the problem is to
uninstall Office XP and reinstall it from your CD. Be sure to make a
backup of your templates, autocorrect files, custom dictionary, Outlook
..pst file, etc., before uninstalling.
