MS office update

After I got the notice that updayes were available, I did the download. When
I tried to install the update, it asked me to run my Office CD. Gateway did
not furnish a CD with this computer. I found another download that seemed to
indicate that this one didn't need the original cd..(It was about 3 times the
size of the original download).
Now, when I try to open any of my excel files, I get a message that I need
the original cd.

Contact Gateway to find out how you should update and resolve the problem.
They should provide you a CD.
