Is this Office 98 for Mac OS 9.x? If yes, then you will need to upgrade
both the OS and the Office package. Office 98 will not work in OS 10.x, you
will need to use Classic Mac for that. To use Office in OS 10.x, you will
need to upgrade to Office 10. See this page for details:

If you are already commited to the upgrade to Jaguar, you might want to try
the preview of Office 2004, the newest version that is still in beta but
will be released later this year.
