I assume you are using the Microsoft FAX program? This is not how it
works. You setup, a standard front page separately. When you want to
send a fax, you "print" from the application to the FAX device. That
launches the FAX sending program which invites you to add the cover
sheet or not, and then it sends the document you are printing to the FAX
device and onward to the FAX machine. Read more about this in the
"help" associated with the FAX application.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hi, Rob Schneider :-

What do you mean by saying

You setup, a standard front page separately. When you want to
send a fax, you "print" from the application to the FAX device. That
launches the FAX sending program which invites you to add the cover
sheet or not, and then it sends the document you are printing to the FAX
device and onward to the FAX machine. Read more about this in the
"help" associated with the FAX application

I have been looking for answers in help, but I couldn't find anything

From which application shall I setup a standard front page separately? - Word/Publisher

I mean:

Launch the application "Fax Cover Page Editor" (probably on Start/all
Programs/Accessories/Communications/Fax" menu. Run the wizard to one.
Read its Help file for details.

Then when you want to send a fax, in any application, e.g. Word or
Excel, do File/Print and pick the printer called "Fax" and follow the
instructions.

In Windows XP Help, search for "fax" to find more to read. You should
be able to find the article "Using Fax" which will tell you about how to
install it (if you don't have it) and tell you about the "Fax Console"
and how you can read its Help file for more info.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
