MS Office XP SP3- Is it Safe to Install?

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 computer with windows XP Prof/SP2 and MS Office
XP Small Business SP1&2 installed. I just received the MS Office XP SP3 CD
from Microsoft. I did not have any difficulty installing the SP1&2 for MS
Office XP. Is SP3 safe to install, and are there any cautions and
preparations that I should be aware of when installing this latest SP? I
should note that I shutdown most everything on my computer before making a
software install, especially my firewall and antivirus. Thanks for any
help, Sam.

Many people report problems trying to install Office service packs after
Windows XP SP2 is installed. Too late now I guess, but it might have
been a better idea to install Windows XP SP2 last (after you installed
Office XP SP3).
