I have been trying to get update/patches for above.
Everytime I go to scan for updates, then download o2ksr1a,
I am asked for CD for Office2000 Premium. I then insert CD
for Office2000 Professional, which is not accepted. When I
cannot insert '... Premium'disc, the update aborts. Can
anyone tell me where I can get updates for '...
Professional' rather than '... Premium'?

Hi, Graeme,

The update is for all versions of Office. The update reads installer
information and requires the original CDs used to install Office 2000 on
your system to complete the installation. Your system thinks that it has
Office 2000 Premium installed. Check in the Windows Control Panel
(Add/Remove Programs) to see what version of Office is really installed. It
is that edition that was used to install Office on your PC. If it is
different than the CDs you have you can contact the PC supplier for the
correct CDs or backup your files, uninstall the non-matching Office 2000
edition, restart the PC and install from your CDs to the same location and
then update.
