MS Outlook 2002 : Unable to open Excel file from a few senders

Mr. Low

Dear Sir,

I have 3 terminal servers (1,2 and 3) with MS Outlook 2002 in my workplace.

Recently, I found that I was not able to open the Excel file from a few
senders within the workgroup using server number 2.

Whenever I click at the Excel file to open it, there is an error message
that reads :

“Can’t create file : GLA56.XLS. Right click the folder you want to create
the file in, and then click the properties on the shortcut menu to check your
permission for the folderâ€.

I do that think that the reason mention in the error message is the root
cause of this problem as there are many files that are able to be created in
that folder.

Surprisingly, I could open the Excel files from many other senders using
this server 2.

When I tried to open these problem files using server 1 and 3, there was no
problem at all.

I am very puzzle about this.

Could you help me to trouble shoot and fix this problem?

Thanks

Low

Dear Sir,

I have found the solution to my problem by trial an error today.

I deleted some files from the temporary folder in which the documents for
outlook are open into, and found that the problem is now fuly resolved.

I think it is more helpful for the user to trouble shoot the problem
immediately, if the error message is worded in this way: " Your temporary
folder might be full, please delete some files to free up some spaces in
order for you to open the attachment".

Kind Regards

Low
