MS Outlook is slow to execute commands, to the point the system stops for
moments or the buffers appear to overflow, typed words not appearing or line
only appearing after moments.

PC is PIV, duel core, 3.4 with two GB of RAM, the drives have been defraged,
no worms or viruses exist.

Any suggestions? Is some setting slowing down this software?

I installed 2007 Office Professional last night, and spent most of today
going at a snail's pace trying to do simple things, mainly OUtlook causing
the problem. It's constantly synchronising folder (with what I have no idea)
and no idea how to prevent it as it slows down as if you're installing
updates. I lost a day's work today because of it. I thought this was
supposed to improve things! Also, errors with AVG antivirus add ins. I have
a reminder that I am unable to switch off. IE7 keeps bombing out, and Access
and Excel not quick at all. Come on Microsoft, what are you playing at?
Required processor 1GB, but I have 1.3 GH so no reason for poor performance.
How do we get support on a brand new product? I'm running Windows XP2002 by
the way.
