Just re built a users laptop and get this error message

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The file
C:\Documents and settings\%username%\local settings\
application data\microsft\outlook\outlook.ost cannot be
accessed. You must connect to your Microsft exchange
server computer at least once before you can use your
offline folder file."

or

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. You do not
have permission to log on."

The laptops works fine on other accounts and the user in
questions account does not seem to work on other
workstations please help as the laptop is soon to
expearience the joy of flight, out of a window that is !!

Try deleting the OST file:

Close Outlook
Search the hard drive for
*.ost
(be sure to search in hidden files)
Then delete it (or all that you find)
Open Outlook

A new OST file will be created when you open
Outlook.

Also check where you have the client configured
for mail delivery.
