MS Outlook

Trying to use my laptop as a tele using MS Outlook. Also I am just using a
headset plugged into the ports on the side of the computer. I am able to get
it to dial and the other party answers but as soon as they answer a dialogue
box pops up telling me to lift the receiver and click the talk button.
Problem is there is no receiver to pick up ( I'm plugged directly into the
computer) and when I click the talk button it hangs up. Do I need to purchase
some special software. Should I be using a headset compatible w/and plugged
into the telephone w/only the tele plugged into the computer.

unless your modem drivers support using a speakerphone with outlook (not all
speakerphone modems work with outlook) you'll need to use a standard phone
as the dialog says.
