Installed MSBlast on W2000/SP3, Office 2000/SP1A PCs. DID NOT have virus.
Since then registry and Office MSI is screwed up. Also, can't open Word
files on W2000 Server/SP3.
Steps taken so far (IF I can remember them all, not necessarily in order):
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled Office.
2. Reinstalled W2000 SP3.
3. Windows Update.
4. Windows upgrade in place. Repeat steps 1 and 2.
5. Office update to SP3.
6. Ran installer cleanup.
7. Uninstalled and reinstalled Office.
I may have left a few out. I've posted numerous questions on various NGs, no
luck. Tried numerous MS fixes, no go. Do I have to reformat the damn HD and
reinstall everything from scratch, BECAUSE I INSTALLED THE MICROSOFT PATCH
TO A FLAW IN THEIR PROGRAMS?
