MS Photo Editor

Have a customer who uses Windows 2000 and office 2000
pro. She recently received a JPG attachment, double-
clicked it and as normal, MS Photo Editor kicked in BUT
only minimized to the status bar. Nothing else
happened....no grey Editor screen, no picture,...nothing.
I tested MS Photo Editor directly from the Shared location
and executing it provided the same results. I can
associate the TIF/GIF/JPEG/JPGs to Image Viewer fine but
am concerned about the behaviour of MS Photo Editor. Any
thoughts or ideas how to resolve this? All other Office
features work fine. I even tried Office Repair with no
results.

I experienced the same problem as you.
Please modify or import this registry into regedit.exe
(backup yr regedit.exe before doing this, as recommended
by MS, hahaa)
It works for our user, we are running Office 2000 on Win2k.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Photo Editor\3.0
\Microsoft Photo Editor]
"InitialPosition"=" 69, 28, 901, 664, "
