MS PowerPoint has stopped working

Everytime I close MS PowerPoint 2007 I get an error message saying that it
has stopped working and MS will be notified and MS is closing the program. I
have run the dianostic program twice and it has found nothing wrong and I
have run repair from the control panel, downloaded all the fixes and updates.
I was sent a hotfix and when I tried to apply that I was told that it did
not reconize the version of MS Office that I have? Hope someone can help?

Have you some Addins installed - for example PDF-Maker, Snagit or something
else? In that case try to start PPT in safe mode by holding CTRL while
starting the program. If the error disappears that one the addins is the
culprit. Than you have to search which one of them causes the problem by
deactivating them and activate one after another.
