Ms proejct 2003 Vs. Ms Proejct 2007

Hello

We are using Ms Project 2007, However we received .mmp Project plan that was
modified in MS 2003. WhenI say modifed, I mean tags and field were added to
it to faciliate additonal reports. So when opened it MS 2007, we could not
get the information to show up based on tags and field that were created when
we filtered on certain item.

I know sometime when we working with two different verson of MS Proejct,
things tend to get of whack such as color etc.

Alot of work went into the project plan in Ms 2003, so how can we get that
inforamtion to show up in Ms 2007 without having to re create the wheel.
Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

It was my understanding that Project 2007 can read Project 2003 files.
Thus, even though modified by Project 2003 don't understand why it won't
work as expected. Perhaps because what you think is there is not there?

Why have you concluded that you could not get the info? The info not
there? File won't open?

Ideas:
: get a copy of Project 2003 and try
: get the people who created the changes to look at the file to confirm
the changes they made are actually there. If not, then they need to resolve.

Thanks Rob. here is the problem: a new filters were created into Version
MS2003 and the file was sent to us. We open it in MS2007 and when try to
filter for reports based on the newly built in filter, nothing comes up in
the task list, we get blank task list. We checked to see if the built in
filter /changes made are actually there and they are. Any idea. Thanks in
advance.

I have just the obvious ideas, but maybe this helps?

: If you remove all filters are all tasks there? If not, then missing
tasks is root cause?
: Once you establish that the tasks are actually there, if you re-create
one of these new filters, does it present to you the expected tasks? If
yes, then something was wrong with the new filters. If no, then the
specification for the filter needs re-think.
