Hi all, I have been tasked to deliver a system that will
allow tasks in MS Proj 98 be transferred to a "timesheet"
created when one use the Personal Web Server for MS
Project 98.

Well, that can be done but there are also request to put
in more columns (e.g, Duration, Planned Effort) into the
time sheet :< That (to date), I was unable to figure out.
Do I need to code manually?

Would greatly appreciate your valuable feedback to
overcome this issue.

PS: The constraint is not being able to purchase add-on
softwares :<

Thanx

Hi, thank you for lending a helping hand.

For your info, this Personal Web Server can be found in
the MS Project 98 CD (in the valuepack directory).

After installing the PWS, it need to be configured (there
are instructions in the CD).

To use it...

From the MS project, you need to look for a feature call
WebInBox (or something like this). Click on it and it
will send the information in the MS Project to the
Personal Web Server for the allocated resources.

Let say I am one of the resource, I will need to access a
login page (I will be given a URL to access this page),
after keying in the user id and password, one can then
view the timesheet and update the work time for each day.
In this timesheet, there are only task, work, Mon, Tue,
Wed...Sun, Comment columns.

I need to add more columns in there (e.g, Duration,
Remaining Work).

This is my problem :< I can't find any feature in the MS
Project that will allow me to customise the column. I was
wondering if I need to write some VBA code to insert the
column???

I guess not many people know about this so its ok if you
haven't heard about it.

Thank you very much for your help :>

Hi Rod, thank you for your feedback and advice.

I may not have much option for now as the organisation is
looking at utilising the current MS Project 98.

I will feedback accordingly and maybe write in to
Microsoft for more detail.
