Hi,

Currently one of the users of the Proj Server 2003 has a strange problem
with the web access. When this team member logs in using his account on his
laptop with internet explorer 6 it gets a time sheet in which only the
current day can be entered. It is also not possable to change between the
weeks.

When he logs in on my laptop also using ie 6 it works properly and he sees
his day to day timesheet in which he can use the arrows to change weeks. So
it works perfectly.

I tried deleting cookies and ie temp files with no effect
Both computers have the same security settings.

I wonder if anyone has a suggestion for this vague problem?.

Kind regards,

Ruben

Ruben,

Check to make sure there are no add-on or pop up blockers on the I.E. on the
machine in questions. Also, try logging in as yourself on the machine in
question and verify whether you are seeing the same issue. If you are not
seeing the same issue then it sounds like a possible corrupted profile for
that user on that machine.

If you have the ability, you might try to recreate the users' profile on the
machine in question. If you have admin rights or can get admin rights, log
in as an administrator (but not as the user in question) then go to
C:\Documents and Settings and rename that users folder.

Then log off and the next time the user logs in, they will get a new profile
and the issue should go away. They can copy over any files they need from
the old profiles Desktop, My Documents etc.

It is a pain to do this but trying to find the root cause of this type of
problem is probably going to take a lot longer and most likely you will not
be able to figure it out. Could be a million things.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the response.
Indeed i noticed it could be a billion of things.
I logged in on that particular laptop and it gave the same problem. So it is
not specific to the account and it is specific to the laptop.

Unfortunatly i don't have admin rights for this laptop.
And i am not making myself more popular with the MS Project 2003 problems
encountered so far. Well i will see if i can get your advice followed and
then hope for the best.

Kind regards,

Ruben
