MS Project 2000: Doubles in file size when saved. Help!

S

Soxs

I have inherited a project file that sits on a shared network that may or
maynot be linked to other project files. I want to close off all other links
and make it an isolated file.
It did have a link to a shared resource sheet, of which I changed to 'use
own resources' under the tools shared resources option. Is this enough?
Because, when the file is saved normally the file size changes from 5Mb to
10Mb. !!??**%$£"!!

Can anyone help??

Hi Soxs,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

If you have separated out the file so that it is a stand alone file, then
you could try the suggestions in FAQ Item: 43. File Bloat? - Might be
Corruption.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/.

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
