MS project 2002 activation

I am having some problem activating MS Project 2002.

When I install it accepts the VLK on the certificate.However when I start
the application for the first time it again asks for the product key.Here it
does not accept the VLK , but accepts the key on the back of the media.When
I try to activate through internet it gives me a message that it has already
been activated for that key .

So I am stuck .How to activate it ?
