MS Project 2002 can't login to Project Server

Johnny

When trying to login to MS Project Server from MS Project
2002 using NT Authentication, I get this message:

Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 53
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]
ConnectionOpen [connect[]].
Connection failed:
SQLState: '08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQLServer
does not exist or access is denied.

I am able to connect to the project server internally and
successfully test the connection through the Internet.
Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Hi Johnny,

I assume you are trying to connect over the interner or
to an extranet. If you do so you should use a VPN
connection, because otherwise you have to open some ports
and this will not be very secure.

Best regards

Your problem is solved.
Do let me know how did it worked.
