Hi all;
I'm in a corporate environment where application installs are centralised
from a server to which I have no access (run from a proprietary installation
system which is more-or-less a macro wrapper around each product's own
installation package). My version of MS Project 2002 was installed this
way, via the corporate system.
There are known problems with the currently-installed (old) version of MS
Project 2002 which I need to fix- so I want to install SP1 and the Feb 2006
hotfix package. However, when I download and run SP1 from the MS site, the
installer tried to access something on our corporate server, fails to do so,
and SP1 installation fails.
As best I can tell, it's trying to update or access a .msi file on the
server.
Can anyone tell me how I can get the service pack installer to look only at
the installation on my PC, not refer to the corporate server ?
Thanks,
Mal.
