MS Project 2003, File size swells unbelievably in a week or two

Has anybody come across the problem where the size of the file
balloons out of proportion to the data within the file, i have been
writing simple macros to automate the print picture to power point
functions but the file has swelled from 18mb to 40mb in less than a
week, the plan it self only has 3500 activities, no resources, it is
very milestone driven, i cannot see why it swells to this extent.
Also i am getting Memory issues, when i open ms project.

It sounds like you have file bloat/corruption. Go to our MVP website at,
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, and take a look at FAQ 43 -
Handling project file corruption and/or bloat.
