MS Project 2003 on a 2007 machine

I am trying to load a licensed copy of Project Standard 2003 (and then
service packs 1 & 2). When doing so it is exorbinantly slow and eventually I
get a note to the effect of "Installation (or something to that effect -
didn't write it down) ...corrupt" and then it crashes. Is there more than
likely something wrong with the disc, or is there a compbility issue from
MS2003 being loaded on a machine that has been updated to 2007 (MSOffice) ?

Oldest to newest....
Uninstall 2007. Reboot. Install 2003 then all its SPs and other upgrades.
After all that, then install 2007

There is no problem having Project 2003 on an Office 2007 PC, but you will
need to repair the Office 2007 installation after installing Project 2003 as
Project 2003 will over-write some Office 2007 components.

Works fine for me. I recently reloaded everything to to a hard disk
crash. First went on Office 2007, then Project 2007, then Project 2003
and everything seems to work.

Perhaps just go with what the error message is telling you... un-install
and re-install. Or maybe part of your hard disk is unreliable and bad
data is stored there. have you checked the hard disk with scan disk
recently?
