MS Project 2007 - Unable to save project or retrieve them properly

P

PS

Hi,
I have installed MS Project Server 2007 on Win2k3 as stand-alone
installation and MS Project Professional on Win XP.
Now, after logging into Project Professional using the
Administrator (domain account of my server), I created & saved a
project. But, this cannot be viewed on project web access site
(logging on with the same user). The Administrator is the part of all
security groups (Executives, PMs, TLs, etc) and security categories
(My Organization, My Projects, etc) that were present in Manage Users.

Waiting for reply.

TIA,
PS.

The question has to be asked: Did you publish the project? Only publishing
copies data for PWA.

Note that users who are PMs are better being in the PM group only and
Administrators in Admin group only. Including in all other groups is
unnecessary and can cause unexpected Security difficulties.

Hi PS,

have you actually publised the project?
If not, you will not bebale to view the project in Project Web Access. Open
your project in Project Pro, go to File > Publish. if you publish the first
time, you will be prompted with a dialog window that askes you ifyou like to
create a workspace. It is up to you to create a workspace. Once you have
published you should be able to see the project in Project Server.
Hope this helps

Dear Rod,
Thanks for the quick reply.

Well, that was not my question exactly. I couldn't see any projects
while opening from Project Professional. And now, all of a sudden, it
has started showing me the project list without changing a thing.

Anyways, what I am now trying to do is to use the resources created in
the resource center (pwa) in my project (project professional). Is it
that I add the resources in the resource center & it will show me a
nice list of the resources in project prof.

TIA,
PS.
