Scenerio: two teams using similiar data. One use Access. One uses Project. My
job is to combine the data. Currently, I am doing it manually using Exce, but
there must be a better way.
PLease Advise.
Thanks.

Project can save to an access file and access can read the project database
files. Seems like if you want to avoid excel you could do it in access.
Depends what you want to do.

JackD - Thank you. I saved project to a blank Access file. It created dozens
of extra Tables amd columns that I had no need for (i.e. cost). And other
data - I couldn't find in the DB version of Project. So, while I know it is
possible, it looks pretty ardulous. Any tricks to limiting the Project
template, so that I can save my file without all of the extras that Project
plugs in??
Thanks in advance.

It is not really extraneous data. If you have no need for it, just ignore
it.
Read the document titled projdb.htm on your pc for information about working
with the database.

The project database is an .mdp file which is really just an .mdb file with
a different extension.

You can also store via an ODBC connection to an access or SQL server
database (or any other ODBC compliant database that you have installed.
